GREEN CARE project
-care farms in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship region
Kujawsko-Pomorski Agricultural Advisory Centre in Minikowo in partnership with a Local Action Group “Bory Tucholskie”, execute the project under the regional operational programme of Kujawsko-Pomorskie region for the period 2014-2020.
Due date: From September 2016 untill June 2018
The project assumes creating and operating of 15 care farms in 5 districts of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship. Care farms will servicing and housing for 75 people.
Participants will be able to use the classes and support through 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (in groups consisting of 3-8 people). Each participant of the project will receive care services for the maximum of half a year (in total 225 charges). This will allow a substantial amount of participants access to this innovative type of services and help them make any future decision to continue participation during the life of the project.
In December a course for caring for elderly and disabled people was conducted within the framework of the project. Those engaged in care taking of people who did not have qualifications participated in the course.
Ongoing consulting for care farms is provided throughout project, these consultations help adapt the activities according to the specific needs of participants of the care farms.
Support training within the establishment and development of care farms will be organized.
In Poland individual care for elderly people is dominating so far. This Project will help to develop caring of small groups, where people can meet together and develop new relationships. This will mitigate issues connected with loneliness.
